Today, Monday, the Nepalese authorities closed the country's borders with its neighbors India and China for every week , hours after they suspended all passenger flights in an attempt to stop a possible outbreak of the Corona virus.

Yuba Raj Khatiwada, Minister of Finance of Nepal, announced that each one cross-border movements are going to be restricted for every week from 10 am (0415 GMT) until midnight on March 29.

"The provision of the required goods will continue as was common , and therefore the border closure may extend for an additional period following talks (with India and China)," Khatiwada told reporters after Sunday's cabinet meeting.

Nepal shares a border with China on the northern side of the country and with India on the opposite three sides.

Closing the borders with neighboring countries will become only hours in any case flights are suspended, apart from cargo and emergency aircraft and passenger flights to evacuate foreigners stranded within the country.

It's noteworthy that Nepal has one case of the emerging coronavirus, which has since recovered.
